A busy month

Well lots has been going on. I've moved house, started a new job, been on my hen weekend......it's been busy.

First things first. The new house is great. It's a lovely three bed, with loads of light and plenty of space. Al is hoping to move in this weekend. I can't wait. We're slowly getting sorted on where what is going and all that sort of thing, Next item on the agenda for me is to sort out my clothes (again!!) I’ve got bags all over the place at the minute, some due for charity shop, some due for the dump, some really needing to be unpacked. I’ve also got to make room for Al’s clothes in the wardrobe as well. That’s this week’s job, in a nutshell.

The new job is really great. It’s so rewarding working for a company where I feel I am contributing to the good in the world rather than the bad. There are pictures of real live patients who benefit from the drugs produced here all over the place. This week, my aim in work is to actually see some plant. I will get into the plant and see what it is they’re all talking about for this. I’m looking forward to it really.

The hen weekend was awesome. A group of ten of us went to Longleat Centre Parcs and had a ball. Ok the weather was fantastic, we really were blessed with it, which helped a lot, but equally, most people got on like a house on fire and everyone is now planning on making it an annual event.

Wedding plans are moving on apace. Since I now live within 1.5miles of work, I’m looking to sell my car which will help pay for a lot of things and get me into the exercise bug as well. 3 miles walking or cycling a day will help with weight loss, as long as I don’t then eat it all back up again!

I have ~ a month before the first wedding dress fitting. My aim is to give the month of June a really good go of it. I’m going to apply the 80/20 rule. So, if I walk/cycle to work 4 days a week and stick in cals 5 days a week, I will be happy. I need to plan for this obviously, so I will be spending the next few days getting food and house ready for this and planning ahead for any upcoming events I can see will be problematic. We’re back to planning, organisation and no more holiday head!
